The Artist Draws Amazing Portraits Entirely By Scribbling- Trendy Art Ideas
Liz still vividly remembers her very first "proper" portrait, she was vi, her family was visiting an aunt. She felt so charged full of emotion after watching a film (about an Arabian princess who sadly came to a terrible demise – surely wasn't age-appropriate!). She promptly asked for a pencil and paper and got scribbling!
Liz realizes, that moment was her spark and has been fascinated by emotive portraits ever since. She has also found fine art to be a therapeutic aid as she used to be very shy and through art found a groovy fashion to express herself. And that basically is the core of her creations – self-expression.
"We are all fallible homo beings, some of us experience things more strongly than others. My husband is pretty chilled, an open book – me non so much! Therefore, the faces are drawn to demonstrate the anarchy of emotion hidden within all of us, which is why the scribble technique evolved. I like to experiment with different mediums – sometimes these are a hit, sometimes a miss but I'm always learning!"
Liz prefers spontaneity when it comes to art. The chief objective is for the portrait to convey an emotion to the viewer so working fast is best every bit feelings are fleeting. Therefore, she much prefers working smaller scale – largers works taking longer and existence susceptible to more changes ultimately results in loosing the emotional content of the piece. ~ lizyahmet
